It's amazing what crosses one's mind. I had a random thought that there might be other *holders* close to major margin calls and that this is giving them an unfair advantage re time to offer further securities etc to protect their positions. In other words couldn't risk a sell off today. (As I said just a random thought)

RE the trading halt - Personally I don't like the idea of "Tuesday or when report is released whichever is the earlier" situation. This means we are virtually forced to keep an eye on the market in case the announcement comes early and if it's negative those that miss the announcement will miss the best price to unload.
