It's likely they have opted for the expansion for the MtMagnet mill, it then follows that they'll have to dig more dirt to feed the mill at those rates, which follows that they'll need to mine from more pits, which equals more money needed. And if I was working at the mine and saw that the managers got a 45% salary hike, I'd be demanding for the same.
And you know they're opting to accelerate production from Magnet to hit their production targets so they can claim bonuses. Profitability of the operation doesn't matter.
