While I agree with what you're saying about something changing. If you were looking to sell down a large holding, you wouldn't want to break the technicals - otherwise you'd scare off the buy crowd. But you're right that there is a very large (and increasing) pool of buyers sitting within the technical range and they're not getting line wiped by a seller ... so I think you are correct
