For staff that is serious coin. That is not idle chatter around the water cooler saying you can exercise those options and flip them for a tidy profit. My guess is, even if it's three different people, you'd need a loan or a redraw facility on your mortgage. Note the smallest parcel was 500k at 7c. That's $35,000 in cold hard cash. Either way you have to consult the spouse and sell the idea to them.
It will get incredibly interesting if we see more 3B s next week. Then it's beyond coincidence.
My best guess based purely on human nature is that something is going to happen prior to November which will be a significant benefit to shareholders but not option holders. Important staff who need to be rewarded and retained are having it suggested to them that it would be in their best interests to convert sooner rather that later.
As usual I know nothing and have no evidence to support this conjecture. I genuinely welcome other comments and contrary opinions.
