I phoned Investor relations today to enquire what was going on and after 20 minutes of asking what was going on and getting the verbal - we are in compliance... I asked a a couple of really simple questions:
1. Have you had many concerned investors calling about share price - the Answer: Yes
2. If you are having so many concerned investors why are you not releasing to market an announcement that there is nothing to be concerned about? Answer: I can't answer that.
3. If there are so many concerned investors and you are not releasing an announcement that there is nothing to be concerned about, is there actually something significant to be concerned about in the 18th's announcement which you have disclosed to your institutional investor Macquarie but are not disclosing to your retail clients. Answer: No Comment.
