Suppose Dart reject this deal and the Airth project is refused/delayed/derailed due to Scottish Independence .
Dart will be in trouble as they have no income and little left to sell . With the benefit of hindsight it will look like they should have done this deal .
IMHO this deal will give Dart shareholders a greater chance of retaining exposure to the assets to a later stage of maturity . Therefore a greater chance of making money .
Look at the very limited alternative investments for UK shale - retail investors stand a better chance of sharing any rewards with Igas than they would with A.J. Lucas .
BTW , today Egdon announced they were doing a deal with Alkane for Alkane's shale acreage . Egdon are a long shot as they don't have the financial muscle for shale .
