Late crash in Anvil share price on TSX last night brought Anvil share price to a dramatic low of $3.51 in Aussie dollar terms. A 30% drop!

This is serious.

Price has been tumbling for some time.

It may be that the Congo Government contract review has gone very badly for Anvil.
Could an unfortunate contract review be in place as punishment for what happened in the long past suppression of rebels by Congo Government - the subject of long term action by Slater and Gordon?
Pushed also by the Rebel's base support?
As punishment for Anvil using influence to bring in the army in a no nonsense action?

Well that is a very long shot on my behalf.

However all is not well!

The Contract Reviews are to be released in less than two weeks now and surely insiders and institutions would have inside information of the likely outcome.
A probable cause of the late in the day slump in Anvil share price.

Could the review have held in place a demand for the financial contribution to Congo Government that would eliminate Anvil's financial reserves?

Whatever!

Is sad and serious days for holders.

The best and only hope is an over-reaction by sellers.

Alternately a panic measure of selling by an institution in financial despair may be a possibility.
Albeit an unlikely one.
