Have been doing a bit of reading on trading bots,or algorithmic trading programs.They are used commonly[but not exclusively] by institutional traders to either buy,sell or accumulate shares on market without greatly affecting the share price,by instituting automatic trades at pre-determined intervals,attempting to beat the VWAP for the day.It seems they have worked well today as we are all scratching our heads as to what their intention was.Because of their very nature it is almost impossible to determine whether their presence means good news,bad news or no news.You would have to ask the programmer.
