Don't bet on government intervention either fergle. They have been doing everything possible to halt a slide for years in the US and are nearly out of conventional ammo and the Japanese would be very interested to hear from you if you have any ideas or their market, LOL!! :-)
Ridge, interesting how the FTSE and DAX seemed to uncouple early in the evening didn't you think. Usually seem to fly in tandom but the Dax was down nearly 2.5% with London up 1.
Looks like gravity has returned to normal in the UK in the last hour though. Bugger...
