Oh dear, now we have an Auusie cyclist dieing in South Africa.

He did have a heart condition but all the same "he was a wonderful person and didn't deserve to die" it was said.

I am advocating that surf skiers wear lifejackets and and helmuts and cyclists have heart monitors at all times.

It can't be that those who indulge in high risk sports or push their bodies to the limit are more vulnerable than others.

I suspect it is being good that kills you as I have yet to hear of anyone that wasn't almost god like expiring.

As much as being a couch potato is derided, the facts are they don't die younger but do avoid the crippling effects of extreme sport.

Whether they enjoy life as much is another thing.
