a referees decision must be accepted but everyone has the right to ask for a ruling from a referee.

with regard to the stockpiling dispute between alliance and quasar a relevant referee may still be the ACCC.

it may have been unfair and/or unconscionable (from the alliance perspective) that alliance was put in the position of needing to decide whether to accept the quasar four mile uranium project buyout offer in the first place.

small exploration companies have played a major role in the development of australia (e.g. refer to the olympic dam discovery) and as such the alliance/quasar stockpiling dispute could still be of significant interest to the ACCC.

it takes very little time to make a complaint to the ACCC. possibly it may be of benefit if there was multiple complainants.

from my limited understanding a complaint to the ACCC would need to be in the context of it relating to matters regarding competition within a particular industry and not in the context of you being a shareholder in a listed company.

for the record i am not making any accusations of any wrong doing by any party associated with the four mile uranium project. it's not for me to say what is for example fair or unfair.

over the years i have read some not so nice stuff about ASIC and the ACCC on various online forums. from my recent limited experiences I think they are both very good organisations.
