    Hi,
    Yes a lot of what you say is true although China seems to
    have escaped your argument in the military sense.
    China's willingness to be part of world trade indeed a major player in a lot of countries not to mention their ravenous appetite for our resources (despite them announcing recently a possible 3 month buying holt by their steel industry due to their perception of monopolistic pricing rigged against their interests) would I believe have no influence in restraining a military outcome should they believe it was in there best interests to do so.
    Has China shown any interest in their nuclear arsenal being downsized?
    I agree the greatest threat is from rogue states like you mentioned so wether it's wondering or dreaming on my part I will leave to others to judge but weapons technology and conventional ones at that are a vital step in keeping ahead of any possible adversary, as I said before I don't know if MST are part of any future devastating conventional weapons system............but there tech could by any reasonable account be a possibility.
