You should spend some time looking at the turn of the century and DOT COMS . Many use great SP improvements to say that traditional rules no longer applied. Then boom it all fell apart dramatically and some of the high flying stocks loss 90% of value and many went BK. i remember JEFF Bozos explaining why Amazon having a Market Cap greater than GM and BA combined was correct. Amazone was one of the first to fall and had a very large SP loss. Give me just one metric that justifies Tesla being even half of Toyota's market Cap. You can even use a projection 3 years out in your analysis. Assume toyota does not grow at all. As you said no profits low book value / sh. Revenue Lets look at revenue Tesla 24B, three years ago it was 12 B but last year it only went from 22 to 24 B so lets assume it goes to 36 B over next 3 years which is unlikely. Toyota is a measly 30 T thats 30,000,000,000,000. Book value Tesla 34 B Toyota 53T so you see tesla as a positive indicator. I see it as something that will implode violently as many high flyers in the past have done when there was nothing to justify the SP. in general Toyota is 1,500 times bigger than Tesla. Does not the fact they have equal market cap raise any questions for you? You are welcome to your opinion. it will be interesting to see what happens. I have been investing since 1955 Never have i seen a stock with crazy numbers like Tesla not have a violent correction Can you name just one in the last 100 years. There may be one but I do not know what it is.

The monthly average price for amazon in nov 1999 USD 85.00 December 2000 it hit USD 15. Low monthly average was USD 6.00 Sept 2001. learn from history. No fundamentals the stock will implode. IT usually take several times longer than I expect but it does happen.
