Vey interesting stuff and I for one have have decried this idea of midteen pe's or even higher as normal.
Many will say that PE's are low at market bottoms but I am not so sure it is that simple.
I don't have definitive historical records but I believe that in fact PE's can be fairly high towards market lows.
Partly because earnings are lagging numbers.
You will also see most companies attempt to pay a higher dividend than justified to shore up their falling share price.
I think the lowest PE's will arrive well after the market bottom.
But I am no fundamental expert.
