    It's part of the Nature vs Nurture debate, IMO more often than not it's a bit of both

    Humm seems like the tall guy got his confidence/authority from his height but was not emotional mature to deal with rejection.

    When a ex live in decided to leave me I was actually some what relived and thought we could continue as friends. But then I realised I still had strong feelings for her and attempted to reconcile but eventually she found another partner. One day she saw her at the supper market, came up to me and in cheerful tone says "Hi Justis" without saying a word I turned and walked away but I did notice the disappointment on her face as I did that.

    There was a temptation to call her and apologise but felt best not too and move on which i did
