They only way you can remain friends is if you both were lying about loving the other.
Maybe I just don’t have the strength of character to be able to stay friends with an ex lover? Maybe I need to wear singlets so I don’t have a sleeve to hang my busted heart on? Maybe I just wasn’t attractive enough to get the required practice in the dating game?
Who knows? But that’s just what my life experience has taught me.
