Potencial to significantly expand iron ore resources at Mbalam.

The existing resources are open at depth and along strike. The vast majority of the prospective iron formation stratigraphy within the licence remains untested by drilling.Drilling to date at Metzimevin and Mbarga has tested only 2.7 Km of the Itabirite unit.
The UNDF has mapped an additional 35.8 Km of prospective Itabirite unit within the Mbalam licence area. A further 15 Km of Itabirite unit is interpreted from aeromagnetic and topographical data and includes a unit which strikes to the West from the Metzimevin area.
There is also considerable potential for the discovery of additional iron ore resources immediately outside the licence area.For example an interpretation of aeromagnetics and topographical data suggests that there is an additional 21 Km of prospective Itabirite stratgraphy extending Southeast outside the licence,across the Cameroon border into the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This area to the Southeast has since been acquired by Sundance. and since that they acquired the block of about 1000sq kls to the North and East.
