24 hours after the events in the Greenland parliament I think I've got it.

The Big Question: Why would those opposing repeal of the U ban - which at this stage is only an "In Principle" decision - do so when common sense, science, good experience of U mining elsewhere such as in nearby Canada, and the long term interests (jobs, royalty revenue, etc) of the Greenlandic people cry out for a Yes vote?

    It makes no sense.

Except when you ask yourself, who has the most to lose from a Yes vote?

    The Usual Suspects:

    1. China (currently controls 95% of global Rare Earth supply).
    2. Competing Rare Earth miners (There's one near Kvanefjeld which has has no, or minimal, uranium to worry about).
    3. Greenpeace (funded largely by oil interests who oppose nuclear power since it competes with oil).

    Ah, now it makes sense.
