The current situation of having a price dip, even when good news is expected, reminds me of an old "Rule of Thumb" - the 60:30:10 Rule - which probably still applies - even in this volatile Market:
That is, the sp will be :
60& dependent on overall Market sentiment
30% dependent on the Sector sentiment
10% on the sp
Today we have a Market currently dow 77pts (1.6%) and an Energy Sector down 378 (2.1) - a bit of opposition for the sp!!
The other oldie is "Never fall in love with a Stock"
(Food for thought only - dont wish to be negative)
