Just to clarify E, there had never been an announcement stating a deal was "perilously close" - there was a sidebar comment that was then promulgated by SHs. However, this was brought to a head and in turn set straight in a company announcement on Sep 13 2012. That annc. did infact draw attention to the hyeadwinds Anteo was and still encountering, maybe one to revisit - quite sobering for those with any heady thoughts.
As to POC, Ellume may be the most progressed to date, however Lumos/Nplex have gone their own way due to a Strategic decision by Anteo for DX development under JH that conflicted with Lumos moves after their eventual takeover of Kestrel DX. Similar to events regarding the deal with eBiosciences and their takeover by Affymetrix, but my take of that one was it at least allowed non-conflicting tests to be developed by eBio.
NB: The deal with Ellume is 5 years & it only started on 28 October 2016.
