You are brave roar987, in admitting this,

I have owned PPS and made some capital gain but I will not likely buy it again.

I have lost a few dollars over the last few years by thinking I knew more than the market.
I am pleased to say I am back on track and had reinstated hard sell stops on all my holdings.
My rule was and is once again, " Set a sell price before I buy"
    This rule limits my losses.

We will never know more than someone else unless we run the company, and even then, we can be caught out by circumstances beyond our control.
My advice is to limit losses and let profits run until you can't sleep at night.

I achieved a couple of years of >40% gains on my portfolio pre COVID19 by doing just that.
When the markets went all wobbly in early 2020 I pulled most of my money out - taking big paper losses - and then played with stocks that I thought had potential ... I didn't set hard stops and lost money as a result. Most of those gamble stocks are still languishing.

    Lesson learnt!

    Cheers,
