I switched to EV 5 years ago. Started with a cheap Leaf. I found that most of the fears around owning an EV are greatly overblown (including the range anxiety). It all of course depends on where you live and what kind of infrastructure is available to you there. I only use the public chargers when I go on road trip (have done a few 1000+ kms ones). Definitely not enjoying it when I have to rent an ICE car.
