Good news. Lets hope it goes back to the drawing board and some independent oversight and right to protest is included. There are numerous things like arbitrary detention within the new laws which could target people who want to protest against the Government. And up to 45k fines and 2 yrs jail for a health emergency is just so out of line. The reality is Andrews want his gov or another in the future to have sweeping powers to supress protests and dissent, as well as implement health orders, thats why the language in the bill is so broad and subjective.
