40's opinion.
have you someone who could harmonise with you ? pref a girl to add a bit of lightness to it all. or a guy who can sing lower than you. for most part you're chasing the song but a lot of what you sing seems fine. too many words for the music ? seems to me your words are rushed into the music at certain times. needs some other instrument in the background ? in summary, maybe another guitar and singer with you. your voice is nice but i can't help thinking it needs a no 2.
you're not wasted matey. not at all. have you had singing lessons ? if not, go for it. they can work magic.
