They didn't say they weren't interested in the headphone market, they just said the technology in its current form isn't suited to headphones. It's too powerful to sit in or on the ear.
They may look to develop a 2nd generation in the future that will suit headphones. That's if our dreams come true and gen 1 is commercialised and we're all partying.
