Oh and @ateam those data writing speeds being 10x faster than flash was:
1. Memory ink printed on flexible and transparent plastic
2. Based upon speeds achieved by their earlier prototype
As per their announcement on 7/12/15 SOR achieved data writing speeds of 1,000x faster than flash on memory ink printed on a silicon substrate.
To the best of my knowledge SOR has not released results of performance (excluding endurance) of the significantly enhanced prototype that they announced on 17/3/16:
Commenced a new generation of prototype nanocube memory inks due to the success in creating a layer of nanocube memory ink over 5 times thinner than previously achieved with increased performance. The surface roughness and uniformity of the layer was significantly enhanced.
As well as improving the prototype they, with the help of VTT, also improved the printing capabilities to create an even more uniform layer of ink which further enhances performance.
And if current development of slot die coating is successful that will, even further improve the performance of the ink, and result in more economical application of the memory ink (ie even cheaper to print memory as less wastage).
