You seem obsessed with looking at the negative side to any argument presented. Your comment about Soros is as simplistic as it comes. Yes, he gets it wrong (you have a solid entry in the State the Obvious competition for that one), but overall his record is stellar. TO avoid any confusion on your part i'm putting an emphasis on "overall".

Do you know when he bought? What his timeframe is? Has he sold already? You don't know his investment strategy, but you know if the trade is a success?
Yes, I assume it is obvious not to blindly follow Soros into a trade based on internet chatter. However, most people if they could get in a second before Soros and sold at the same time he did would take that in a heartbeat. Even knowing that he "surprise, surprise" does get things wrong occasionally...
