So, what is Soros up to?

I've done a bit of research and discovered that he has recently committed to investing $1B in green technology.

But what does platinum have to do with green technology? It doesn't seem likely to me he is interested in catalytic converters here. Not exactly revolutionary technology.

Platinum seems to have magical properties as a catalyst in many chemical reactions - properties unique to it as an element.

The future, I believe, in terms of transport is the fuel cell. And guess what... platinum is currently a critical ingredient in these devices.
