soros predicting dow at 7000, page-42

I like these threads. Thing is people will be calling any number between here and 1000 as the bottom. Someone will be right but not because they got inside knowledge, just because there were lucky.

I remember someone calling Dow to fall to 1000 before it bottomed in 2003. It made headlines. Sometimes the most outrageous claims, like oil going to 200+ are just publicity stunts.

There are like no positive news anywhere. Iceland going bust, everyone going bust and so on. People think 7000 is conservative. Retailers pulling out cash from funds. Everybody is angry and disgusted with equities, governments, CEO's.

With so much bearish news and nothing positive.....you just gotta wonder. Most people I talked to thought the Dow would rally last night after that 400 point rally off the lows. It statrted higher then capitulated.
