I don't know any ATSI people who want a seperate nation apart from Australia though there may be a few extremists who have called for this.
As to compensation, I think some form of compensation should be made but not direct payment of money. That only assists those who know how to make good use of it and does not help those who don't in fact it may even be bad for them.
I think the governments should ask ATSI people how best they could assist them and as far as is possible and reasonable to then act on whatever those requests are.
