I have a wonderful story about Doug Parkinson, a singer Skipper slipped onto the turntable earlier. Doug was singing in a recording studio adjacent to mine one time way back. I came out and sat on the lounge outside while Tommy Emmanuel laid down a guitar track for my gig. Pretty soon Doug emerged from his studio pretty agitated. He sat down next to me as the young lady served us tea. He was recording a song for a TV commercial, a hair wash product that was wanting to be seen as eco-friendly. I didn't know Doug well at this time. I said mate what's up. He looked at me and said 'They want me to change my vocals, to sing more GREEN'. We drank our teas. Nothing's changed.
