If it's no. 1 then the company has opened themselves up for severe legal ramifications including class actions, so not quite 50/50 in my book.

Held & watched stocks go through this before, and if it's a matter of improving the procedures to get the results they are after then watch it go back up closer to the old share price (price should be punished somewhat anyway as the best case scenario is still a delay to commercialisation.)

As a spec the option of it being a dud has to be a possibility. If that is the case I'm happy to hold onto all my shares to be a part of whoever takes over the RAP shell.
