re: new heading uranium
Now I dont know much about this Scook guy, but why shouldn't we able to question his history, especially as a top 3 shareholder. Tolli, you say to look at his successes and that he is a smart man because of his successes. Well to me its not about a man's successes, its about how he makes his money. From a cursory glance at Scook's history, it appears he has made money at other people's expenses. Now I certainly wouldn't want a person of that nature pulling any strings in a company of GPNs size (not unless he's changed his spots).
K so the consensus is that Scook has no say in the company anymore. Let's hope that that is true.
Jakem made a good point that we shouldn't just look at one individual, who for all intents and purposes probably has no real influence anyway but look at the other directors. From my limited research thus far it appears that McInerney is the jewel in the crown. Seems to have a very good extensive level of business experience and involved in a number of government-based organisations in WA. Hard to find alot on him in terms of mining directorships. Says on GPN website that he has in the past been on the board of a number of mining companies. Does anyone here know which others in the past?
Drewett is a fairly new addition to the board and it appears much of his experience was gained in the OHS arena. Whilst dealing with mining organisations frequently it does not appear those skills push into the intricate nature of running a mining company. Hs efforts in subsequently starting up a Bendigo Bank branch puts him in good stead but I would consider based on his background, that he would be quite inexperienced at this mining company directorship level.
John Geary appears to have the mining technical nouse. Directorship mining talent would look extremely thin without him. Cant find too much more info. Does anyone have any background on where John Geary has been involved in the past? It apprently involves a public listing of a mining company.
