I think your assessment of my reading is right and of FML. I will let Bazza d2 talk for himself, totally capable - just a respect issue.

The AUD POG will be important for our profitability as a higher cost producer. Some of the current FML Sp is factored because of this - market factoring risk, especially with lower current cash levels.

Any prudent investor or commentator has to look at current events and consider certain outcomes over the coming couple of quarters. A rising USD into the coming stages of the de-leverage event in the Euro zone impacts the HUI more than the ASX - XGD in terms of earnings but maybe not share price action.

SP action and profitability can move independently so even if equities tank I see FML improving their position as they steady things. Note I am not ramping either way here - stability of the company balance sheet and operations will not necessarily be reflected in the short term SP gyrations which I seldom speculate on in here.

Albaman - long term, IMO watch for a rising yield on US treasuries for the break out of gold to a major run and equities should run hard then also. Should gold take a real hit here it will be more a function of a rising USD on safe haven buying - believe it or not. And oh, IMO also our gold stock mania is still highly likely, get educated guys so you maximize the opportunity and I hope it changes your lives for the better.
