Having shares in anything is a capitalist invention. If it were a democracy where people were counted instead of how much risk a particular person has undertaken by investing their wealth in a venture, not a lot would be done.
The ASX has in recent times has introduced the 3 strikes rule to ensure that shareholders when banded together have their say on how their investments are administered.
