JSE-listed vehicle-tracking and fleet-management company DigiCore said on Tuesday that it had secured two contracts, which would require the installation of its fleet management in as many as 60 000 vehicles.
The first was with the South African Police Service (SAPS), which was for between 20 000 and 30 000 vehicle installations, and the second was with a European mail distribution company, for a similar size contract.
Speaking at a presentation of the firm’s results for the year ended June 30, CEO Nick Vlok said that DigiCore had already started with the SAPS contract, while international director Bruce Richards stated that the firm had installed 8 000 units for the second contract.
The company boosted its revenue by 36% for the year, lifting earnings to 44c a share.
It declared a final dividend of 8c a share.
