Arguably they all need to be replaced pretty soon. Certainly over the next decade which just happens to line up nicely with our 2030 emission reduction target .
lnteresting that you mention Kogan Creek.
lt cost $1.2 billion back in 2007. For only 750mw . Pretty small by baseload power station standards.

What if we extrapolated that cost out across the entire east coast electricity grid ? Sounds like clean green renewable energy is a bargain to me.
And then there's the 8000 tonnes of coal they are burning every day . l can only assume they are not getting that coal for free.
Better add that to the bill eh ?
Oh. l nearly forgot . The Kogan Clean Energy Hub is being built alongside the power station. Now why would they be doing that if the future was in coal ?
