    When voting in Australia we have an honour system. There are penalties for people who commit voter fraud but it's an offence that is difficult to prove.
    That's why some people would like extra scrutiny. Things like proof of identity, facial recognition digital id and so on.
    Slippery slope stuff.

    Anyway my expectation was before the vote that the turnout might be similar to SA council elections which is circa 30% because it's voluntary.
    So they got less than 10% turnout.
    It will be interesting to see if that goes up or down in future elections.
