South Korea is taking a different approach to meeting its energy needs: nuclear. The nation’s Ministry of Science and Technology this week granted permission for two new atomic plants to be built in the town of Gijang. The facilities will the 21st and 22nd reactors in the country, and are expected to be completed in 2010 and 2011.
