I was watching a presentation on Hazer (HZR) recently who, for those not already familiar, use a process that takes in feedstocks like methane, and outputs hydrogen and synthetic graphite. Talk about covering two big bases in the sustainability sphere!

In the spirit of this thread (learning) I am curious about this synthetic graphite versus what SYR iprovides etc. I think I heard the figure 97% mentioned in the HZR presentation, and plans to try and reach higher grades in the near future.

I'm under the impression that 94-97% is considered best suited for use in batteries; and 99.9% purity "spherical" graphite is needed for Li-ion batteries? That may be inaccurate. Which makes it seem like they're a way off yet.
