There is another way of looking at this situation.
We may have a situation where a monopolistic public company is failing to develop telecommunications infrastructure to protect its position of market dominance. The government of the day has correctly judged this failure to be a threat to the future prosperity of the country, and has taken action (well executed or not you can judge for yourself) to address this threat.
Pardon me if I dont weep tears of blood when this company and its shareholders cry foul.
