Parrot, political risk not only involves current issues, but future ones too. Kirchner is known to be an admirer of Chavez. As living in Argentina becomes more difficult and extreme, her popularity will wane: what can she do to increase her popularity? She's already in discussions of hoping to reclaim the Falklands even though only 3 people voted for this at the recent referendum.
Desperate measures will require desperate decisions. Ask yourself what might she do if the situation becomes extreme?
I'm glad I eventually sold a few weeks back. What would I do if I held at current prices? Don't know, but probably wait for short term rally to sell into.
No sour grapes intended. If the situation stabilizes, I will definately buy back. Without sovereign risk, this would easily triple IMO.
