It's quite easy to try to compare what's happening with Jadar to our project, however, the situation is completely different.
A major difference between the 2 projects is that Jadar is totally greenfield. Other mines in Serbia (eg many around Bor operated by Zijin) have a really long history of mining from ancient times through to Jugoslav era and have been very successful and are well supported today. This is a better comparison to Vareš, which also has a rich mining history.
I understood from people in Serbia this, and the way the government has handled land acquisitions, are the main points of friction.
In any case, Paul from day one has made it a focus to build a 'social license' for Adriatic and I believe he and the team have been very successful in this regard.
