I think given what happened at MK1 with the mud weight the chances of the same happening at MK2 were pretty high once the mud weight had to be increased to prevent blow out.
I think I used the term funky hole pretty early on.
I take your point though they did say it was still in good condition and went sideways from there.
You believe that management deliberately left the rights issue until after Christmas to hide a black hole, I doubt they did, more likely Christmas got in the way,......we will never know, I just don't believe SM is a sneaky prick.
