In business, nothing is personal. There are no longterm enemies or friends. Just whoever's interest the circumstance serves.

I mean voting down the deal so that BHP (who wants the Railway tenament real bad) will then have to submit another bid and pay what UMC share holders rightfully deserves.

Do you think BHP will walk away from such a deal at $2 a share? I doubt it. From their POV, the consequence is threatening.

There are many more Chinese interest who would step into the shoes of CRM like Hunan Valin for instance. Chinese have been snapping up mines in chile, africa, canada on a daily basis. CRM is just one player out of many who act as fronts for the Chinese soverign fund.

I hope you are wrong even though I think your points have merits.
