Kiwi168 - I think you are right as getting a bit confusing. I think the valuation at $3.65 was to work out their profit on their shareholding because it is described as a "cumulative fair value gain" which was released to the income statement.

The intangible assets are $5,955,562 HKD (000's). The clause does go onto to say they have received advice from the Independant Valuer to determine the value. I do not see how they can detail the full value of Brockman on their Balance Sheet because they do not own all the shares as yet.

There was a fairly recent valuation under BRM announcements late last year on the Comsec website. Records do not go back that far now so unable check. Would be good if we could source a copy though. May come in handy down the track.

In the wash up I think we need an Accountant to explain.
