Glencore have finainced SRQ, and YTC in the past year. They know the geology of the region in depth (pun intended) via repeated success with CSA now being quite deep.
It would be a coup to consolidate all three. As far as I'm concerned this is their strategy.
Also they are particualry good at picking the Cu price tend, illustrated via their stable mate Xstrata's picking up of MIM for a song.
They won't sell out they are very sharp operators.
