Nice little back page article AFR 5/6Feb, about food shortages, price inc of fertilizer in future & phosphate.
In particular BHP's need for exposure to Phosphate and the ill-fated Potash Corp bid. Also noted large % of world phosphate held by Nth Africa nations like Egypt / Morocco etc. With shortages looming.
'Ngualla' surely must be coming under very serious consideration sooner / later if this inc in Fert / DAP costs keeps going. Our resource is still hard to label with a size as yet. But it is huge and deep and ticks all the boxes, with a few big ticks pending.Dont forget the icing ,we have REE insitu as well, with hint of HRE.
The Big Australian went after Potash Corp to the tune of 40B recently, and they are normally well ahead of the game.
PEK at 100m MC is tiny, currently, and the opportunity to acquire at 1/400 of the cost of recent t/over attempts makes it undeniable. This would be an Ace for any Corp at those numbers. The article mentions Phosphate hill, Incitec and a few other pure Phosphate plays in OZ.
But it points out 'Phosphate' is in high demand. GL this week , Guys. DYOR. There are more twists and turns looming IMO.
