Elixinol won't dig themselves into hole. Ok, maybe they don't go blow their profits on private jets and casinos (yet) but reinvesting into the company, on a fundamental level, is profit in my eye's.
Even though Japan didn't work out, at least they had the balls (and the capital) to go for it. Got out promptly and professionally.
Worst case scenario, can easily pull costs down below 10 million if need be.
