BE1 - I agree 100% with your comments. That being said you would be hard pressed not to find a market that is not subject to manipulation of some sort. Technology has allowed the production of these super sized super speed algorithms that enable traders to make enormous profits at the expense of the ordinary retail shareholder. Look at gambling and foreign exchange markets to name a couple that are constantly being impacted by the technology. Unfortunately they prey on those who have plenty at stake and then force them to make knee jerk decisions that achieve their outcome. Unless they are regulated against the best way is to stick the script, deliver the results and avoid panic selling. Its not a level playing field by any means!
